E&P's 7th Annual Photos of the Year Contest

Editor & Publisher's 7th annual Photos of the Year contest, sponsored by Canon, produced a record number of entries this year. These prize-winning photographs were selected from hundreds of entries in four categories (news, features, sports, and multiple images/photo essay), and represent some of the most striking images published this year by newspapers in four circulation classes. Whether it's a newspaper's journey to Pakistan or Peru in pursuit of a story, or a visit by schoolchildren to the local fairgrounds, there's much to be enjoyed among this year's winning photographs.
